A BOSCO truck going through the MobyDick 400B Wheel Wash installed and supplied by Condor Civil

The Project

T & T Landfills is one of the major construction and demolition landfills operating in the Wellington region.

The Requirement

With a significant amount of truck movements per day a lot of dirt was tracking onto the streets of Ōwhiro Bay, not only causing an environmental and safety issue, but providing a bad image for T & T to the surrounding neighbourhood.

The Wheel Wash Solution

Condor supplied a MobyDick 400B Wheel Wash System due to it having a full 4 metre wash platform providing a full tyre rotation and an optimum wash result.

The system has a full 20mᶟ water recycling tank, meaning minimal top-up water was required.

With the wheel wash system being in a remote location, onsite Condor supplied a full turnkey solution, including a generator.

The Result

The Wheel Wash System was delivered to the site, and Condor staff oversaw the installation.

By keeping the dirt off the roads and surrounding stormwater catchments, the end result was that there was minimal environmental impact to the surrounding stormwater network, and the roads were kept safe.
